BURGUNDY

Specialized tour guides based in Paris and Burgundy

We have tour guides/wine specialists based in Paris and Burgundy. If you have true connoisseurs, we have the connections for arranging very high end and technical tastings.

Historic Burgundy is only 1 hour and 40 minutes away from Paris by TGV, and we arrange many day trips from Paris. Usually the clients take the 8:02am train to arrive at 9:33am in Dijon. And the return is usually with the 4:58pm (6:37pm in Paris) or the 5:29pm (8:22 in Paris) train.

The two main wine areas are:

  • Côte de Beaune, located south of the charming city of Beaune, is famous for both white wine — Puligny Montrachet and Meursault — and red wines such as Pommard, and Volnay.
  • Côte de Nuits, located north of Beaune, is exclusively red wine country — Aloxe-Corton, Nuits-St-Georges, Vougeot, and Gevrey-Chambertin.

We can also take your clients to the Chablis area and Sancerre area.

In Burgundy, we can also arrange sightseeing (castles, picturesque villages), hot air ballooning, biking, cooking classes, horseback riding, activities around truffles, cheese tasting and mustard tasting (we have a close relationship with the last independent and family run mustard mill in France (since 1840).

It is also a good halfway destination for clients traveling between Paris and Provence. For those who would like to explore this famous wine region in-depth we recommend a two to three-night stay.

LYON
We highly recommend a visit to Lyon, either as part of a Burgundy stay, or on its own. This beautiful city is just two hours away from Paris by TGV (about 30-minutes south of Beaune), and we can arrange walking tours, cooking classes, visits to open markets, antiquing, and Beaujolais wine tasting.
