CHAMPAGNE

Specialized tour guides based in the region and Paris,
including wine specialists/experts

There are two ways to get the champagne area: by train (45 minutes) or by car (1 hour, 30 minutes).

Two main centers to visit: Reims (Pommery, Ruinart, Roederer, Mumm, Piper Heidsieck, Taittinger, Veuve Clicquot) and Epernay (Moet et Chandon, Mercier, Perrier-Jouet). We also like to take our clients to a small producer; there are hundreds of them and it provides a totally different feel for the area for the clients.

The drive between Reims and Epernay, through the Forest de la Montagne de Reims, is quite scenic. We recommend a visit to the Reims cathedral where most of the French kings were crowned. Troyes, a stunning medieval town (half-timbered houses), was once the capital of Champagne.

Note: The TGV station is about 5 miles away from downtown Reims
